About the Event
Every year, the Tzu Chi Year End Blessings Ceremony, is a time of gathering in the bliss of gratitude.
Gratitude to every volunteer and benefactor for their generous giving of time, energy and physical wealth.
It is also the gathering to congregate the wholesome thoughts of everyone, to wish for peace and health in the forthcoming year.
In sharing the annual review of Tzu Chi UK and Tzu Chi global presence, we will take you on a whirlwind tour of the work happening across the organisation now and what we're working towards for the future.
In this ceremony, guests will receive a "Hongbao," literally "red envelope or packet" in Mandarin Chinese.
Tzu Chi's Red Envelope is a personal gift from our founder, Dharma Master Cheng Yen, representing her caring blessings to everyone. The tradition began in 1990 and is interwoven with the publication of Master Cheng Yen's teachings, as royalties from those books fund the gifts.
The global theme of this year's ceremony is "cultivate reverence for life from our diet, join hands to spread love with faith, vows, and actions 茹素護生勤造福，共善愛灑信願行" We invite you to choose a loving and compassionate diet, keeping our mind, body, and environment in harmony with a lifestyle of health and sustainability.
