The Power of Small
Tzu Chi Bamboo Bank

When Tzu Chi was first founded, Master Cheng Yen and 30 followers started saving 50 NT cents each from their grocery allowance in a bamboo moneybox every day.  Even now, saving a little every day in a coin bank is still being practised by Tzu Chi members and many around the world. As Master often says:  everyone, rich or poor, can give what they can to help others.

It is not the amount of the donation that counts, but the heart and constant good thoughts to give.
